Chang An II at Avon Connecticut have really good food. I particularly like the chicken teriyaki! Also, their vegatable rolls are good and the crab Rangoons are the best I've eaten. Kung Po is good too. I've tried their lemon chicken with rice too which has lemon rings kind of baked on them that taste so good....gentleman who works there taking take out orders on phone told me about the Kung Po nicely..thanks Chang An II. Thanks Chan Ann II for always being pleasant when we call to order and for always having the order ready and correct. Dinner's are always consistent and they are always accommodating. We order a couple of times a week and have frequented other restaurants...Chang Ann is best for take out.

Best Chinese Food. Love the egg foo young, lo mein, best shrimp and chicken dishes. Best steamed dumpling, egg rolls and spring rolls.
Al;ways fresh. Authentically and consistently prepared.

this place showed no loyalty to a too frequent customer. food marginal at best. Owners have no business sense, haggled and would not substitute an egg roll for the tiny soup included with lunch special. walked out hungry, they lost a $20 sale and a 2-3 time a week customer! Soup was more expensive than the egg roll. Food is questionable just was closer to home. never going back!1

What you have to remember about this area is that there are VERY VERY FEW good restaurants of ANY kind. The people in this area think they are ultra sophisticated and in reality they wouldn't know sh*t from Shinola

Horrible Food! They filled the pork fried rice with a lot of cooked onions. I hate onions. I paid extra to have more beef added to my dish, but they did not add the extra beef.

Not Nearly as Good as it Used to Be
This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. It was sold to new owners some time ago and the quality of the food has gone significantly downhill. The flavors are definitely different and we are looking for a new local place to get Chinese because this one just isn't cutting it anymore.

My go-to for Chinese take-out
Definitely my favorite Chinese take-out in the area. Always good food (my family loves the appetizers and chicken dishes), prompt service, reasonable prices, and never a mistake on my orders. I often make special requests for my dishes too (adding, removing, or going lite on certain ingredients), which they have always provided for.

Get what you pay for.
PROs: CHEAP FOOD! They deliver, have a large menue.
CONs: Might take a long time to get to deliver, typical food you would expect from a buffet.
I don't think it's as bad as some people say it is. Food is about what you would expect, nothing fancy, but that's what you're paying for.

Gross things in food
I have gone to Chang An II in Avon for years and the food was always pretty good. Recently though we have noticed new people working there and what I found in the food was GROSS!!! I ordered the Tangerine Chicken and then I found dark burnt like skin that was from the head with the EYEBALL still in it... plus there was also a chicken claw in there. Needless to say, I will NEVER go there again...GROSS!!!

personally...
compared to some resteruants in the area this one is decent. Yes, the man doesn't speak good english but it delivers which is great for a teenagers who can't drive and are to lazy to cook.

horrible service
I really like their food but the last five times we have ordered from them for delivery they have taken over 2 and 1/2 hours to deliver it to us which we live about 10 minutes away maximum. We had to cancel to go out to get something else and they still charge me for a product that never shows up. Word of advise if you go there, make sure your picking up the order yourself because otherwise you'll have to wait a couple of hours or more if it ever gets there, which they claim it will eventually and to deal with it.

Good Chinese Food
I've been ordering from Chang-An II for about two years and love there food. They offer a delivery service which is great on cold winter days or when you just don't feel like going out. If you like chinese food you'll like Chand-An II.
